I'm in my storyboarding class right now and so far, it's been a pretty boring/typical class (now I'm on a break). So I was zoning out. A lot. But then I saw this book called The Ghost of Nicholas Greebe and I started flipping through it. Never have I ever been hit so hard with a desire to draw. So wonderful! And then as I continued zoning out, my mind wandered to the fact that I always think of story boarding like drawing a comic book. Soooo... Why should it not be like illustrating a book?! Did you follow that logic there? I hope so. I'm not so good at explaining today. ANYWAY. I want to illustrate a story. Like, hardcore-full-effort-on-e

Woooo! Ok, so I have a teensy little confession. Even though I'm an animation student, I'm always really insecure about drawing cartoon-y. It just never looks right, and I end up feeling a bit stupid. BUT... I think I figured out what I'm doing wrong/how to fix it!! YEAH BABY! Thank yoooou Storyboarding class. First of all, my teacher made the point that I draw like an illustrator, not an animator (which I was aware of), but then he explained a few other things and now I feel all ready-to-take-on-the-world and stuff. I... revisted a lot of my old pictures and dumped them on here. Hooray! I miss Paris a lot :( Too bad I don't actually speak french, it'll be pretty damn difficult trying to make my way around without someone who knows what the hell the Parisians are saying.
